Cameron Porter is a senior studying global studies with a double minor in Spanish and pre-law. She’s currently working at the Detroit Institute of Arts as a visitor experience associate. We caught up with Porter to discuss why she chose Wayne State’s global studies program and her career plans.

Chemistry Advisor Erin Bachert has a B.S. in Information Management through the School of Business. During Bachert’s undergrad, she was a student assistant for the Department of Chemistry. She was then recruited into her current position as an advisor and although thinking it would be a temporary job while completing her master's degree, Bachert realized her love for advising.
Advisor Faith Doyle overlooks two departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Doyle has a B.A. in Education and says that her major taught her skills that she needed to connect with students and to help guide them through their academic career.
Biological sciences advisor Rebecca Russell says she loves getting to know her students and hear about their experiences being a CLAS student at Wayne State University. Russell says that being an advisor and helping students is rewarding because of the student's outcome post-graduation.
