The degree plans are intended to show how a full-time undergraduate major in African American Studies can finish his/her degree in four years. Please make sure to meet with your advisor to discuss specific details about course selection.

There are two concentrations within the AFS major:

Cultural Studies and the Arts: This concentra­tion is designed for students who are interested in exploring the rela­tionship between cultural expression/production and the social experience of Black life. Click here for the degree plan for this concentration.
