The Department of Biological Sciences does not have rigid requirements for admission into the graduate program as motivation, vision, and demonstrated creative potential are the best indicators of a successful student and scientist. A minimum requirement is the completion of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited university, in biology or a related field with course work in the area of intended specialty. Deficiencies in background may be made up early in the graduate program. Application forms, including information about financial assistance, are available from the Department of Biological Sciences or from the Admissions Office of Wayne State University. Completed applications should be sent directly to the following address.

    • Graduate Officer
      Department of Biological Sciences

  • Official results of the general tests of the Graduate Records Examinations (GRE) sent directly     to the above address from the Educational Testing Service.
