Our department provides excellent education programs, clinical opportunities, and research experiences for students pursuing undergraduate (B.A.) and graduate (M.A., Au.D., Ph.D.) degrees in communication disorders. Our intensive pre-professional programs (B.A. and Post-bachelor) are available for students wishing to complete prerequisite courses and to gain a competitive edge for entry into graduate education. Graduate degrees for entry level work in Speech-Language Pathology (M.A.) and Audiology (Au.D.) in our program are exceptional and accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Council of Academic Accreditation.
We also house an active department clinic for children and adults with communication disorders. Our affiliations with some of the nation's top teaching hospitals, research institutes, and school-based programs in the area, along with superb department faculty and a campus clinic, allow for Wayne State students to graduate with an unparalleled education.
