The center hosts this special symposium commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. A collaborative effort between the center, with tremendous assistance from the WSU Law School and the American Bar Association (ABA), the symposium and related events will be centerpieces for the ABA’s year-long commemoration of Brown.

Post-event

Among the speakers were keynoter Charles Ogletree, who drew an estimated audience of over 200, and ABA President Dennis Archer. The symposium was supported by a $10,000 contribution from General Motors, a $5,000 contribution from the Michigan State Bar Foundation, and $5,000 in in-kind contributions from the American Bar Association. The ABA also produced and distributed all of the publicity for the symposium.
