Students who already have a degree can apply for the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) as a post-bachelor certificate. To become a RD (registered dietician), students with a degree need the prerequisite courses (or demonstrate they've had equivalent courses), and then complete the CPD. After which, they are eligible to take the national RD exam.

Prerequisite courses can be taken at a community college, and equivalent courses are listed at the "Equivalent Prerequisite Courses at Local Communit Colleges" link.

Applications are accepted to the program once each year in April to start the following fall. To be eligible to apply for a specific April, students must have completed all the prerequisites before the fall semester that follows. This means students do not need to have all the prerequisites when they apply in April.

For more information, please contact the program director Mary Width at for details.
