The Department of Mathematics sponsors a weekly colloquium series, a number of regular seminars, and the annual Owens Lecture. For details on each of these see below. Owen G. Owens LectureThe Owens Lecture is the premiere event of the year in the Department of Mathematics. The Lecture is named for Dr. Owen G. Owens, a former professor in the Department of Mathematics. ColloquiaThe Mathematics Department Colloquium meets every Monday at 2:45 PM, in 179 Education, with tea at 2 PM in room 1216 Faculty/Administration Building (FAB). Occasionally, the meeting will be moved to another day to accomodate special circumstances. For information, contact Hengguang Li (hli) or Bert Schreiber (bert) at math.wayne.edu.
