Welcome to Wayne State University's Department of Sociology website.  We hope that by exploring our website, you will find the information that meets your interest.  Our department focuses on the study of human societies from a variety of the conceptual & theoretical perspectives.  Our graduate program concentrates on Sociology of the Family, Labor and Urban, Medical Sociology, and Inequality.  A list of our courses and their descriptions can be found by clicking on "Courses" on the left.
