Extended Run of Beyond Hollywood at the Valencian Museum of Ethnology through January 2019

The exhibition “Beyond Hollywood: American Indian Identities,” the result of a collaboration between the Valencian Museum of Ethnology in Spain and the Grosscup Museum of Anthropology, has drawn over 2000 visitors per month since it opened in Valencia this summer. As a result of the strong numbers, the VME has extended the show through the end of January 2019.

The exhibition features collections from the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills and the Ziibiwing Cultural Center of the Saginaw Chippewa Indians in Mt. Pleasant, both of whom were important partners in its production. Should your holiday travel plans include a trip to Spain this year, think about stopping in Valencia, catching the exhibit, and saying hello to our partner at the VME, Dr. Joan Segui.
