The Science of Culture

Now on Exhibit

Some fields of science investigate the materials and principles of the physical universe. Others use empirical data to understand interactions and behavior in biological populations, including human ones.

Anthropology is a science focusing on human beings. It comprises the sub-fields of biological anthropology, linguistic anthropology, cultural anthropology, and archaeology.

This exhibition is a collaborative effort by faculty, staff, and students of Wayne State's Department of Anthropology to present a range of scientific investigations found in the discipline of anthropology.

This exhibit is funded in part by a grant from the Michigan Arts & Culture Council.
