The Center for Excellence and Equity in Mathematics has, for over 20 years, been working to provide students from inner cities and underrepresented minority groups with the educational and lifetime opportunities that all students deserve. Chartered in 2007 at Wayne State University, the Center builds upon the successful legacy of a collection of programs previously known as the Mathematics Pipeline. From the beginning, these programs have been about making a difference and changing lives. The cornerstones of the Center – the WSU Math Corps and the WSU Math Program at the K-12 level, and the Emerging Scholars Program at the college level – have received widespread acclaim and national recognition. |
