Study Abroad Scholarships

Students wishing to pursue Study Abroad opportunities may apply for grants to support participation in study/internship programs outside the US. Preference is given to programs sponsored by WSU, programs affiliated with WSU and those that grant academic credit. In most cases, awards range from $250 to $1500, depending on length of program and quality of application. Visit the Office of Study Abroad and Global Programs in the Undergraduate Library for details.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) are available on a competitive basis. The awards provide a nine-month stipend, graduate tuition for ten credit hours in each of the fall and winter semesters, and medical and dental coverage. Applicants should submit, a completed application form, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a résumé indicating teaching experience. Applications for GTAs are available in the department office and online. The application deadline is March 15 each year for GTAs beginning in the next fall semester. Decisions are made by April 15, 2006. For additional information, visit the Graduate School.
