Conference Venue 

NALHC takes place on Wayne State University’s campus in Midtown Detroit. The interactive map at the bottom of this page will help you navigate campus and find your way to nearby restaurants, attractions, and services.

  • Registration and most conference events will take place on the second floor of the Student Center. Enter on the south side of the building for easiest access to the registration desk.
  • The Keynote/Bernath Lecture and one panel will be held in the Spencer M. Patrich Auditorium at the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights.
  • The opening reception will be held at the Walter P. Reuther Library.
  • Digital humanities events will be held in State Hall.

 

Parking

  • Guest parking is available on campus for $7.75/day, and must be paid by credit card.
  • Parking Structure #2 is the closest to the Student Center, and it is open 24-hours a day.
  • Consult WSU Parking and Transportation Services for additional parking options. 

 

Transportation

Arriving in Detroit: Detroit is accessible via Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), Amtrak, and Greyhound bus. Skoot provides shuttle service between the airport and the MotorCity Casino Hotel or Wayne State University's campus for $20 each way. 

Moving around the city: Wayne State University is located in the eminently walkable Midtown neighborhood, which is home to a number of resturants, shops, and cultural attractions. Limited public transit between campus and other parts of the city and metropolitan area is available via the Qline light rail and DDOT, RefleX, and SmartBus buses.
