Research Interests
My main theoretical perspective is evolutionary; I am interested in the evolved basis of human behavior, especially adolescence, social dominance, humor, and marital relations. Currently I am collaborating in a cross-cultural study of marital satisfaction with collegues in several countries. I also have been studying kin recognition through olfaction.
Teaching
I teach graduate courses in developmental psychbiology, adolescent psychology, and the emotions, and undergraduate courses in adolescence, the emotions, human sexuality, and the brain.
