The Mathematics Department sponsors a weekly colloquium series, a number of regular seminars, and the annual Owens Lecture.  For details on each of these see below.

Owen G. Owens Lecture

The Owens Lecture is the premiere event of the year in the Department of Mathematics.  The Lecture is named for Dr. Owen G. Owens, a former professor in the Department of Mathematics.

Colloquia

The Mathematics Department Colloquium meets every Monday at 2:45 PM, in 149 Education, with tea at 2 PM in the Nelson Library. Occasionally, the meeting will be moved to another day to accomodate special circumstances. For information, contact Peiyong Wang (pywang) or George Yin (gyin).
