What is the Confucius Café?

The Confucius Café provides a comfortable setting for students and faculty who enjoy practicing Chinese and and discussing China-related topics. The Confucius Café is held each Thursday on the 11th floor of the Maccabees Building (5057 Woodward Avenue) between noon and 3 PM. Refreshments are served and several native speakers of Chinese are generally available to help beginning, intermediate, and advanced-level students with their Chinese.

Thirty minute lectures and discussions are occasionally arranged at the Confucius Café - click here for the Fall 2009 schedule.

If you would like to submit a proposal to make a presentation at the Confucius Café, please click here.

A ping pong table is available in our adjoining Diplomacy Room and over 3000 volumes of books, videos, DVDs, and learning materials are available to the WSU community in the Chinese Resource Library.

We encourage all interested WSU community members to join us for conversation, refreshments, and friendship!
