MARKET BULLETIN

OCTOBER 28 IS LAST MARKET DAY FOR 2009!

LUNCH IS HERE: SOUPS, SANDWICHES, AND MORE! CHECK OUT RUSSELL ST. DELI AT THE NORTH END OF THE MARKET!

Thanks to customer feedback, eggs are now available at your farmers market! Check with Holtz Family Farm.

We're also working to bring prepared lunches (especially those with locally sourced ingredients). Stay tuned!

OCTOBER SPECIALS

(1) OCTOBER 7, 14: Bridge Card users get to double their benefits! Swipe your card, and get twice the number of $1 tokens (up to $10 per person per day, until supplies last). Click here for a flyer.

(2) OCTOBER 21: Put your name in a raffle to win fabulous prizes! 2009 Market gets off to a good start!

  • Every Wednesday, 11 AM to 4 PM.
  • 5201 Cass Ave. (In front of Prentis Hall; across the street from the Detroit Public Library).
  • Market accepts cash, Michigan Bridge Card, and WSU One Card.

 

The Market needs Volunteers!

Tasks include setup, take down, customer surveys, and more!

Be 'Tote'ally Cool! Reduce plastic bags!

Now that you shop every week at the Wayne State Wednesday Farmers Market, why not bring your canvas or other reusable tote bag to the market?

Don't shop every week? Keep a bag in your office for when the impulse strikes!

Have extra tote bags languishing at home? Drop them off at the SEED Wayne tent. We will distribute them to shoppers for free.  Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle plastic bags at your farmers market!

 
 
 
 

The watercolor on the right is by Sheila Burns (created c. 1966) and is a part of Wayne State University's art collection. Burns attended WSU and received a BA in Education in 1935.  This watercolor was a gift to the university from Rex Lamoreaux in 2000.
