Prof. Mark VanBerkum Awarded the Prestigious President’s Award of Excellence in Teaching
Dr. Mark VanBerkum received the highly prestigious President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. VanBerkum had previously been acknowledged for his success in teaching both undergraduate students and graduate students by having been awarded the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Teaching Award twice in previous years. Dr. VanBerkum has taught undergraduate classes in Cell Biology and Physiology, and graduate classes in Neurobiology. The focus of the research in his laboratory is the developmental regulation of the central nervous systems in Drosophila melanogaster.
