Popadic Lab Garners Cover Illustration for A New Publication in Developmental Biology
John Chesebro (MS Biological Sciences 2008) and members of Dr. Aleksandar Popadic’s laboratory recently published the paper “Diverging functions of Scr between embryonic and post-embryonic development in a hemimetabolous insect, Oncopeltus fasciatus” in the journal Developmental Biology. The paper reports on the apparent conservation of the role of Scr in insect wing development and the necessity for continuous expression during post-embryonic development. A figure from the work was chosen by Developmental Biology for the journal cover.
