Recruitment and Retention
As part of its mission, CBS recruits students into a two-year academic program designed to facilitate the transition between high school and college and to increase retention rates of at risk students. This program is called the Scholars Program.
The purpose of this program is to provide students of diverse educational backgrounds with:
- a foundation for a successful university career
- self-empowerment tools
- a supportive environment
- preparation for roles as leaders and mentors in diverse communities
In addition to the Scholars Program, we also run a Pre-college enrichment program and a Leadership Opportunity Program (LOP)
