Advocacy

We fulfill our Latino Advocacy mission at Wayne State University by:

  • actively promoting a Latino perspective and an awareness of Latino issues within the university's academic and cultural environment
  • providing the university with a broad range of courses on Latin America and Latinos in the United States
  • provide support to university committees engaged in faculty searches, student services, campus diversity, conferences, and university administration
  • connecting Wayne State University to other academic institutions and organizations concerned with Latino issues through its membership in the Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR)
