Hey Everyone! My name is Joe, a first year PhD student in the English department. My research interests include Gender and Sexuality Studies, Contemporary World Literature, and Globalization, but I am more than happy to talk to you about any research interests that you may have too! Outside of the writing center I love to keep busy by working out, cooking big, elaborate meals, and traveling all across the world. You can pretty much identify me from across campus by the big murse that I carry around too.

I am a Ph.D. student in the Literature and Culture program. My research interests include British Romantic poetry, its intersections with the religious discourses of the period, and the theory of the Frankfurt school. I live in Toledo, OH with my wife and four cats and enjoy long-distance running as a means of maintaining my sanity in graduate school.

I’m a PhD student in the English department here at WSU.. I’m incredibly passionate about New Media scholarship and my research interests include digital literacy and character-limited discourse. When I find a moment to escape reading and research, I enjoy quiet evenings of reading comics followed by early morning bike rides with my boyfriend. If I won the lottery, I would go back to school for a BS in Nutrition Science in order to fuel my obsession with health and fitness – then I would buy a huge house on Mackinac Island.

My ultimate goal is library science, but I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in English. This is my third year as a tutor, but by first at Wayne State.
