For students

Once you have joined the meeting and connected with your tutor, make sure that the document you want to work on during your appointment is currently open on your computer. Once your document is open, click the “Share content” button in the top right.

 

Under the “Meeting Details” tab, you can see the members of the meeting. To join the meeting, click the “Join” button in the upper right.

If you have the application installed (recommended), it will open and connect you to the meeting. If you do not have the application installed, it will open the web-based version of MS Teams first, then connect you to your tutor.

 

Once you have joined the meeting and connected with your tutor, make sure that the document you want to work on during your appointment is currently open on your computer. Once your document is open, click the “Share content” button in the top right.

 

With the “Share content” menu open, click the “Window” option to have teams display every window you currently have open on the computer.

 

Among the options, select the document that you would like to work on during the appointment. The screen will be shared over to your tutor so that they are able to see the document along with you.
